Earlier this week, Konami announced that they thought that the mobile market is the future of gaming. They proceeded to say that they will aggressively push the mobile game market. They will still continue to make console games, just not as many. They continued to say: “Following the pay-as-you-play model of games like Power Pro and Winning Eleven with additional content, our games must move from selling things like ‘items’ to selling things like ‘features.'” (Source)

Does that mean that Konami is going to aggressively pursue pay to play games? If you listen to the Opinionated Gamers Podcast here at vgcritic, then you know that we STRONGLY dislike pay to play. Is Konami smart to pursue pay to play? Personally I don’t think so. What do you think? Is this a smart move by Konami? Let me know, in the comments below!
